I'm enjoying this series so much (though I am wondering how exactly you're going to fix it!), and I figured after twitching anxiously all through Monday (and getting the update on Tuesday) I should let you know how much you've improved my Mondays! Thank you!
Author's Response: thank you very much, i'll try to make your week next, uh, week.
Chapter 9: Day Eighty-Nine
McKay is eager to study new technology that offers a chance of preserving memories of the culled, but Atlantis's new trading partners want something in return.

Very intriguing -- I do hope they can save Rodney, and the tension is just killing me here. I'm looking forward to seeng what Teyla meant.
Author's Response: I'm glad I could keep it suspenseful - - and you'll find out what Teyla meant soon enough.
Chapter 15: Chapter Fifteen
Atlantis may adore John, but her subroutines love Rodney.

I don't think I said how much I loved this story, and its unique point of view, and complexity of the systems running Atlantis (because it couldn't all be one AI!). Love this :-)
Author's Response: thank you! i kind of got that when you offered your missing scene. :)
John Sheppard is determined to bring to ruin the villainous McKay family. But young (ok, youngish) Rodney interferes with his plans.
Okay, so this is what comes of reading the Harlequin SGA website which triggers memories of reading a thousand Regency/Historical novels as an impressionable youngster (**eek**, no wonder I'm twisted). The result is this complete and utter cliche
I make no guarantees as to the accuracy of any of the historical/british terms and settings depicted in this story. They are from my fuzzy memory of romance novels. Nuff said.

I just adore this section of the story -- the test of trust and faith, and they win through! and yes, it's melodramatic, but it just makes me smile and want to cry with happiness all at once. Actually, I love that whole story, and I'm terrible at leaving feedback, but ... yes. Thank you :-)
Author's Response: Thanks! This isn\'t terrible feedback, this is awesome feedback! I\'m really glad you enjoyed it, melodrama and all :)
Pairings: Weir/Dex, Sheppard/McKay.
Good food under the stars on a quiet, warm night, quiet voices murmuring all around them--it had the feel of a typical dinner party; one of many Elizabeth had attended back on Earth...sort of.

I like this very much. The voices are spot on, and the quiet afection of all the relationships is a delight. I particularly liked the line about Ronon being ridiculously young, and Elizabeth happy to be a 'dirty old woman'. (And stoned Sheppard with Rodney was very cute *g*). Lovely stuff.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this. Writing from Elizabeth's POV was a bit of a challenge, but I just couldn't resist the pairing. *g*
"So when were you going to tell me about this phobia of yours?"
Updated: 16 Aug 2006; Published: 16 Aug 2006
Oh, *ouch*. This is really deftly done --- just enough information to make it horribly plain. Poor Rodney -- poor Jeannie, for that matter :( I really liked the rock steadiness of John's presence.
Halloween challenge. It's Rodney's turn to tell a scary story.

This made me laugh so hard. Very nicely done, and oh, very funny! They won't ask him again any time soon *g*
Author's Response: Actually, you know they probably would, thinking lightning wouldn't strike twice. The trouble that man can find is endless! Glad you enjoyed it! ;D
If he kept moving, even the tiny little bit that the Wraith cocoon allowed, he could convince himself he was still alive.

*shiver* Poor Rodney! Beautifully done.
Author's Response: Thanks! Poor Rodney, indeed.
After Lucius's removal from Atlantis everyone breathed in a sigh of relief. But Lucius did more damage then they were aware of and now one person is left to pick up the pieces in silence. McKay centric but includes everyone. Spoilers for Irrisistible and Sateda

Oh, ow. It's the one truly obvious issue with this episode that I've not seen anyone tackle seriously before. Nicely done, too (though I noticed a 'tantamount' where I think you meanb 'paramount' *g* but that's hardly important against the rest of the story, which I really -- is enjoyed the word? I'd love to see more of how Rodney copes, and how John deals if/when he finds out.
Author's Response: lol, I\'ll look into the \'tantamount\' thing. I\'m glad the story was -- appreciated ;) I\'ve said ot to others, but I\'m not sure I\'ll continue this fic. I\'m definately keeping a continuation in mind, but if it does happen it won\'t be for a while. THanks for letting me know that the story worked!
Looking at his hands, Rodney thought how inconvenient this was going to be. (Post-Trio story)

this was very sweet -- of course John lent him a hand. And the image of the two of them falling asleep together on the couch is too dear for words :-)
Author's Response: Hey, it\'s rare that I write something that could be considered sweet, so yay for it working out. ;) Mucho thanks for reading. :)
